To celebrate Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society Kowloon 138th anniversary and Hong Kong Housing Society 70th anniversary, HSC and The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society Kowloon jointly organized Dragon Boat Festival Community Visit (Kwun Tong Garden Estate).The volunteers give elderly a gift pack and show their greetings and blessings in order to achieve the spirit of "Create Homes Revive Communities".
Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society Kowloon has recruited more than 500 volunteers from different organizations and companies in Hung Cheuk Lau basketball court (Kwun Tong Garden Estate). Mr Li, Chairman of Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society Kowloon and Mr Sanford Poon, Assistant Director (Property Management) made a speech to everyone and they admired the support from those volunteers. After that, Ms IP Siu Ming, Social Welfare Officer (Kwun Tong) officiate the ceremony and read the oath with our volunteers. The elderly will understand volunteer's thought if they put their heart into the visit.
The volunteer spelled a big puzzle to show their support to Hong Kong Housing Society about their 70th anniversary.The officiating guests visited elders with the gift packs and had a meaningful conversation with them in order to understand their needs.Some of the volunteers brought their children to make the visit as well. It is good for the children to understand the meaning for volunteers' visit.The event was having a great success and the result was based on the contribution from the estate colleagues.
